Our system is geared towards people who want to find friends based on music favors. The best way to be friends is to understand each other - why not trying to do that by listening to the same music?
After you download and install the FavorAMP.com Winamp plugin, this plugin will send automated reports to our server about what music is played in your Winamp player. The information which is sent to our server includes only music related data, such as artist name, track name and genre.
No personal information is sent or collected in this way (please see our Terms of Use to know more about how user's personal information is handled at FavorAMP.com)
If you want to find someone who listens to the same music, FavorAMP plugin automatically opens a search page, which shows you all FavorAMP users who are listening to the same artist or music genre. After finding a user, you will be able to message him/her with our own messaging system.
If this user replies to your message, you will get his reply promptly on your PC, much like ICQ incoming messages. You will be able to reply as well, and chat a little bit, or switch to ICQ for more options to chat together, by using sender's ICQ number which is shown on top of the message.
